  1. Lawyer in the Library

    Free legal assistance is provided by a volunteer lawyer from the Alameda County Bar Association. The attorney will consult to define your problem, advise you of your options, get you started with a solution, and make a referral when needed. The Dublin Library will start taking sign-ups for the Lawyer in the Library one week before the lawyer's appearance. Advance registration is required. Your appointment is for a maximum 15 minutes. You must arrive five minutes early to check in at the Reference Desk to secure your appointment. Please bring any paperwork pertaining to your case. This free consultation is not intended to, and does not establish, a continuing attorney/client relationship. The volunteer attorney can only provide brief consultation and referrals (as necessary). The volunteer will not represent you in any matter. If you understand and agree to these terms, you may ask to sign up for a 15-minute appointment at the Adult Reference Desk or by calling 925-803-7252

    Dublin Mayor David Haubert will be presenting a special "State of the City" Address for residents and other interested parties. Mayor Haubert will report on such topics as Economic Development, Public Safety, Transportation, Environmental Sustainability, the Financial Health of the City, and more. Light refreshments will be served beginning at 6:30 p.m. Because seating is limited, the City of Dublin is asking people to RSVP to the event.

  1. Parks Air Force Base: 1951-1959

    Parks Air Force Base was a basic training center, overseas replacement depot, and air base defense training area during the Korean War. Learn about the Korean War and how Parks Air Force Base provided basic training and prepared airmen for flight school and service. See on display a recruit's ‘regulation’ bunk complete with footlocker and souvenirs; uniforms including the herringbone jumpsuit worn for work duty; an officer’s desk complete with General MacArthur snow globe and original Parks AFB yearbooks with photos depicting the training and camaraderie Parks AFB personnel; and original construction plans, reports, photographs, and documents for Parks AFB and Hospital.

  2. Exploring Dublin's First Inhabitants

    Dig deep into Dublin’s roots to learn about the tribes of the Ohlone and Bay Miwok people who were the first inhabitants of this area. The exhibit begins with a brief look at the people who lived here first and whose descendants continue to live here today. Learn about their daily lives including horticultural practices and foodways, tools and technology, environmental management, social order, and beliefs. Displays include a house model, examples of usable plants and animals, hunting tools and mortars. Monthly Hands-on History Days further explore the daily life of the Ohlone and Bay Miwok and provide hands-on activities that bring the exhibit to life.
