  1. "Got Milk? Local Dairies in the Dublin Area" Exhibit at Heritage Park & Museums

    April 18, 2018 - August 19, 2018 @ Dublin Heritage Park & Museums

Discover how local farmers contributed to California surpassing Wisconsin as the nation's leading dairy state. Local farmers and their families did it all, from growing the feed for the cows to processing the milk into cream, butter, and cheese to marketing and delivering it to consumers. Individual farmers joined together to form cooperatives in the early 1900s. Dublin also played a part in the development of modern, scientific mass production and mass distribution, with the Foremost Dairy Research Center, which opened in 1966. See vintage milk bottles, cartons, bottle caps, and modern dairy equipment, some on loan from the California State Parks Dairy Collection.

  2. Spring Fair - Celebrate Springtime on the Farm at Heritage Park

    May 5, 2018, 12:00 PM - 5:00 PM @ Dublin Heritage Park & Museums

Celebrate springtime on the dairy farm with farm activities, live music, and farm-fresh foods straight from the garden. Farm vendors sell unique products and demonstrate sustainable practices. Learn spring gardening tips while working in the garden with small tools; visit our farm fresh vendors; and take tractor-drawn wagon rides. Children can learn the process of making milk, butter, ice cream, and cheese through hands-on activities and demonstrations in the dairy pen. Visit the dairy exhibit in the Schoolhouse and tour the home of Dublin’s farm family, the Kolbs, to see what their kitchen and pantry would look like in the spring in 1949.
