April 12, 2017 - June 25, 2017, All Day @ Dublin Heritage Park and Museums
Set in a detective’s office in Dublin sometime between the Great Depression and WWII, visiting detectives can try to solve true mysteries by perusing through vintage facsimile documents and photographs to gather true history clues. Discover who’s who by examining “Sleuth Trunks” filled with vintage photo albums, letters and newspaper clippings that tell mysterious stories from Dublin’s past. Study case files and learn about some of Dublin’s more colorful characters like the visionary Lois Jordon (aka the White Angel), who ran a soup kitchen in Dublin. While set in a fun and fictitious environment, the exhibit will have solid facts and provide clues that will lead the way to successful research for historians and the curious of all ages. This exhibit is open Wednesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, only.
April 13, 2017, 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM @ Emerald Glen Park
The Dublin Farmers' Market returns to beautiful Emerald Glen Park every Thursday through September 21. The City of Dublin partners with Pacific Coast Farmers’ Market Association to operate the weekly market. After the opening of The Wave - the City of Dublin’s new aquatic complex - in late May, the Dublin Farmers’ Market will move to its new home on the boardwalk in front of The Wave. The Dublin Farmers’ Market offers not only traditional farmers’ market fare of fresh, locally grown produce, baked goods, and hot foods, but also a festive, family-friendly atmosphere and weekly special events, such as free concerts, cooking demonstrations, and children’s activities, making it an ideal mid-week break to enjoy summer evenings with friends and neighbors. The first Market of the season, April 13, will include a free concert featuring the band The Black Pack, beginning at 5:00 p.m.
