November is the season for Thanksgiving, so this November we're saying T.Hanks for Tom Hanks! Join us for a Tom Hanks Film Festival on certain Saturdays in November. Watch Tom Hanks through the decades as each week we move through the '80s, '90s and 2000s, ending with his 2016 hit, "Sully." Movies will be shown on the library's big screen video wall (with surround sound) in the Virginia S. Bennett Room. Snacks and trivia will add to the fun! The first movie, "Big," (PG) is the 1988 breakout comedy starring Tom Hanks, Elizabeth Perkins, and Robert Loggia. This program is free and fun for all ages. Contact Dublin Library 925-803-7252 for more information.

This new exhibit explores Dublin's beloved building through local artists' watercolors, oil paintings, and photographs. Gain a new appreciation for Dublin's most iconic sites - the Gothic Revival-style Old St. Raymond Church (1859) and the Craftsman-style Kolb House (1910), to the ranch houses of 1960s suburbia. After being inspired, stop at the makers' station to create your own "Ode to Dublin" in mixed media, or take our new tour, "The Kolb House: A Craftsman Classic."
November 4, 2017, 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM @ Dublin Heritage Park & Museums
At Dublin Heritage Park and Museums, not only can you learn about Dublin’s pioneer past, but you can experience it, too! Join us on scheduled Saturdays for Hands-on History Days. Each month try different hands-on activities, like doing laundry with a washboard, panning for gold, churning butter, making hand-crank ice cream or milking our model cow. Take a guided tour through the Kolb House or Pioneer Cemetery. Activities start at Bill’s Studio. All ages are welcome!
