The City of Dublin invites qualified professional artists, or high school student artists working under the supervision of an art teacher or art professional, to submit designs for painted utility boxes, now through October 31, 2018.
Following positive public response to painted utility boxes Dublin has added around town, the Dublin City Council has approved funding for nine additional boxes to be painted in Spring 2019. All approved boxes are City-owned traffic signal boxes at intersections along Dublin Boulevard between Village Parkway and Hacienda Drive. Winning artists will be paid a $1,000 stipend per box painted.
Designs must, in some way, include or relate to the theme, “The New American Backyard, with an emphasis on the history of travel through Dublin.”
