The City of Dublin has begun work to widen a stretch of Dublin Boulevard from Dublin Court to Sierra Court (from two lanes to three). Due to high-traffic volumes on Dublin Boulevard, the work will be done during the nighttime hours, from 8:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m., to minimize impacts.
There will be three phases of construction:
- Phase 1A - Dublin San Ramon Services District (DSRSD) will relocate a sewer lift station situated near Murco Plaza. (July 2017 - September 2017)
- Phase 1B - The City will be working with PG&E to relocate utilities to underground. (mid-June 2017 - November 2017)
- Phase 2 - The widening of Dublin Boulevard will include expanding the road from two to three lanes of traffic; construction of Class 2 bike lanes and upgrading traffic signals for bicyclist detection; asphalt surfacing; streetscape improvements; and installation of new median islands, curb and gutters, landscaping, and driveway and sidewalk for better accessibility. (November 2017 - January 2019)
There is one short period of work (less than two weeks) where westbound traffic may be detoured onto eastbound lanes; however, no closures of Dublin Boulevard are expected.
