Managing Type 2 Diabetes Class


Find out how to better manage diabetes, monitor blood sugar and enjoy favorite foods. The course, which is offered by the Alameda County Public Health Department, is instructed by their diabetes program manager. For more specific information, times, and dates, please call 510-383-5185.

Health, Insurance Counseling & Advocacy Program (HICAP)


A representative from the Health, Insurance Counseling, and Advocacy Program (HICAP) will provide free assistance with Medicare benefits, Medicare supplements, HMOs, nursing home insurance, and other health insurance to help seniors understand their health care coverage.

Appointments are usually offered on the 4th Wednesday of every month. The 1st appointment begins at 12:30 p.m. Appointments take approximately 1 hour. Please call the Senior Center at 925-556-4511 to schedule your appointment.

Senior Health Screening


Free senior health screenings are offered quarterly by the Senior Support Program of the Tri-Valley at the Dublin Senior Center. Services offered during the screenings include:
  • Blood test
  • Diabetes test
  • Foot care by appointment($10 donation suggested)
  • Health education services
  • Hearing test
  • Hemoccult test
  • Medication review
  • Nutritional counseling
  • Total cholesterol test
  • Urine test
Donations are gratefully accepted. For more information, call 925-931-5383 to find out when screenings are scheduled to take place at the Dublin Senior Center. Foot care is available by appointment only. All other services are available on a 1st-come, 1st-served basis.
