Manufacturing Day

The City of Dublin is excited to participate in the annual nationwide Manufacturing Day event on Friday, October 7, 2016.  Manufacturing Day was created to tell the story about the importance of manufacturing in the United States economy.  Manufacturing jobs are high wage and high growth.  In addition, manufacturing is a driver of the East Bay economy, contributing 70,000+ jobs, and is an important segment of Dublin's economy.

Locally, the City of Dublin will participate in Tri-Valley Manufacturing Day festivities, in collaboration with  local educational institutions, participating manufacturing businesses, and the cities of Livermore and Pleasanton. The event features facility tours and presentations at Tri-Valley manufacturers including AMP Printing in Dublin, as well as firms from Livermore and Pleasanton. Other activities include a  lunch reception and exhibits sponsored by Electro Imaging Systems and the Society of Manufacturing Engineers-Silicon Valley Chapter, among others.

Select local high school students from around the Tri-Valley, college students from Las Positas College, and members from the Society of Manufacturing Engineers Silicon Valley Chapter will be among those attending the facility tours. These participants will also be joining the lunch with representatives of various manufacturing businesses in the Tri-Valley area.
