The word duniya means “world” in a wide array of languages, including Punjabi, Arabic, Susu and Wolof. Duniya’s work embodies this word, as it explores the forces that have brought together the members of the company and their dance and drum styles, including, but not limited to, colonization, globalization, immigration, art, dance, music and love. For today's event, Duniya will be performing Bollywood and Bhangra dances.

Kingsborough has created a huge following with their modern twist on authentic American rock. This independent group of musicians reflects the old school “Working Band” mentality with a heavy focus on raw high-energy performances. BAM magazine describes their performance as “rocking it like the big boys used to…..in the same way that Springsteen has always done.” Building a reputation for an incomparable live concert experience has led Kingsborough to perform with Weezer, ZZ Top, Joan Jett & The Blackhearts, and many more.

Showcasing an eclectic mix of the best songs from the '70s and '80s through the hits of today, Livewire is a high-energy dance band, always in high demand.  You'll hear hits from Journey to Michael Jackson to Bruno Mars, and more!
